Mechanism

We are customers of all of our advertisers. They wrote the ads that rotate at the top of all of our pages. We wrote these. We mean what we say. We won't take an ad unless we've paid for and used the product or service.

We're always open to ideas for sponsored contests and promotions, or even a 'road-block' of all of our inventory for a very limited time.

Veer

There's nothing 'stock' about Veer's approach. The site is super-easy to use, and the selection of photos, illustration, and fonts is amazing. But for us, what separates Veer from everyone else is their great taste in selecting and presenting the materials and inspirations that creatives need. Oh, and they publish an unstoppable weblog, too.

Icon Buffet

The friendly style of Icon Buffet's offerings belie the skill and attention to detail needed to develop coherent, unified sets of symbols that are pleasing to the eye and communciate instantly the concepts represented. We're using their 'Manhattan' family for a client intranet we're building and we used the 'Soho' set here. They looks really good but better than that, they makes us look really good too.

The same crew is behind the just-launched Blinksale "the easiest way to send invoices online" and we're using that too. Delicious.

House Industries

We get the feeling that if House Industries weren't running a successful business retailing, among other things, painstakingly designed font-sets, they'd still be doing much the same sort of work, only for fun. Their enthusiam for their craft is evident in the way their products are presented, in their willingnesss to take chances on new ideas and old ideas too, and most of all, in the confident, beautiful type they create. At CP, we own a truckload of their stuff. Their latest offering is John Downer's Paperback, a supremely versatile family that utilizes some very smart thinking about sizes and weights.

Campaign Monitor

We've used a variety of mediocre tools to manage newsletters and mass mailings for ourselves and for our clients. That's all over now. Campaign Monitor is the nicest-looking, best-designed app for the job. The documentation and help files are (gasp!) beautifully written and right to the point. You do the design and CM handles the rest, including tracking results, managing subscriptions and deletions and scheduling and testing designs and campaigns.

Jewelboxing

You work like a dog to get that presentation or showreel ready or you painstakingly select the songs or photos for a mix-tape or image archive. Put it in something nice willya? Jewelboxing, the pro-grade short-run disc packaging system.
